Since 2009

The fruitful relationship between Joana Lira and Tok&Stok began in 2009 and goes on producing unique sources of inspiration. More than 13 exclusive lines of merchandise have been created and given the artist’s strokes as bed, dining and bath linens, and decorations. The designs are interwoven with themes full of Brazilianness and enthusiasm, ready to enter people’s homes in the most affectionate way possible. By transposing her art to these objects and turning them into small, everyday, artistic interventions, Joana finds herself a creator of what she calls affectionate design. In 2015, her lines Casario and Pollen were featured in the Design para Todos exhibition at the 5th Brazilian Design Biennial, in Florianópolis. That same year, the Bico de Pena line won a highlight trophy at the 11th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial, in Rio de Janeiro. In November 2016, the Casario line was featured in the 5th Iberian-American Design Biennial, in Madrid.
